Background & Qualifications

Emily is the founder of Trinity Physiotherapy and an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist with clinical experience since 2010, working across both the NHS and private sector. As clinical lead, she is responsible for maintaining the high standards of care at Trinity, combining expert assessment with a personalised, hands-on approach.

Emily graduated from the University of Southampton in 2010 and has continued to advance her clinical expertise through extensive postgraduate training, including a PG Cert in Musculoskeletal First Contact Practitioner at Coventry University (2022). She is a registered physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).

Advanced Clinical Practice in the NHS

Alongside her work at Trinity, Emily continues to practise within local GP services as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, assessing complex musculoskeletal conditions and supporting patients who may require imaging, specialist referral, or advanced treatment options. This experience further strengthens her diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making, ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time.

Sports Injury & Elite Sport Experience

Emily specialises in shoulder, neck and upper quadrant conditions, as well as sports injury rehabilitation. Her background includes working in elite sport, with roles at Fulham FC, New Zealand Football and Tawa Rugby Club, giving her a strong foundation in injury assessment, rehabilitation and return-to-performance. She combines this with a firm belief in hands-on physiotherapy, using manual therapy alongside tailored rehabilitation programmes to help patients move better, feel stronger and return to the activities they enjoy.

Oncology Physiotherapy & Scar Therapy

Since 2020, Emily has developed a specialist interest in oncology physiotherapy and cancer rehabilitation, and scar therapy. She works closely with individuals recovering from cancer treatment and surgery, helping them manage fatigue, restore movement and rebuild confidence. Her expertise is particularly valuable for those recovering from breast cancer surgery and other upper quadrant procedures.

Emily is known for her thorough, thoughtful approach and her ability to translate complex clinical problems into clear, practical plans. Her goal is not just to reduce pain, but to help people feel like themselves again — stronger, more confident, and in control of their recovery.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of the clinic, Emily enjoys football, jazz and spending time with her family — and finds that staying active herself keeps her attuned to what her patients are working to get back to.
